Photos for businesswomen who want to look professional AND beautiful.

Dani (let’s call her Dani*) felt embarrassed to even think it, let alone say it. Out. Loud.
"I just want to feel beautiful" She whispered.
"I mean, I've grown my business from scratch, and I've built this really good reputation in my industry, and I've even run a marathon - I'm strong and capable and I'm so proud of all of that. But..."

She paused - is it okay to even say this?

"I just want photos of me that I don't hate. That's don't make me cringe or hide in a dark corner for the next year. And actually, no, stuff it - I want to look really f*n GOOD".

🤣 After we could breathe again 🤣 I confided in Dani that although we women really want to be feminist powerhouses practicing mad self-love and body positivity - we grew up surrounded by magazines full of super lean young models, and insidious diet culture, and being told what women should look like in order to be valued.

And as much as I wish I could wave a magic wand and change that inner-dialogue, I can't (dammit).
So what I did is I learned how to make you look like the most hecking glorious version of yourself in photos.

"So, what, a tonne of makeup and Photoshop?" Dani giggled - only half-joking.

"Nope! It's mostly about coaching you through the entire shoot - and great lighting."

"I work with a professional Hair & Makeup Artist - but not to alter your look. It's so you look like you on a really good day: You've drunk all the water and had all the sleep; your doctor would be proud."

"Let's do it!"
Dani felt excited - she was F I N A L L Y going to get photos she didn't cringe over.

Skip to the part where she saw her photos, and: TEARS.
😭😭😭 The good kind of tears.

Relieved, excited, and PROUD, Dani felt beautiful and has since been sharing her personal branding photos in media articles, on her LinkedIn posts, and she's updated her website to include photos of her for the first time.
