Feeling Nervous?
You are in the right place, my friend.
I hear you. You are not alone - hence this dedicated page on my website!
First up, know that what you are feeling is very human. 99.99% of my clients feel some sort of nerves thinking about having their photo taken: from nervous-excited through to barely even making it to my studio and shaking and sweating so much!
But everyone looks so confident!
I know you might be looking at the photos of my clients and thinking they look super relaxed / confident / authentically themselves, there’s no way they were as nervous as you..! Please know that most - almost ALL of them - felt that same way.
There are some great blogs talking about my client’s individual experiences, and also lots of testimonials and 5 star Google reviews from clients who share their experience, too.
My clients will tell you that they focussed on just getting themselves to my studio on the day of their photoshoot - and that I guided them through everything from there.
You may not believe it right now, I know with absolute certainty that you will be able to do it, too.
At some point during their photoshoot, many of my nervous clients find themselves exclaiming “This is so much fun! Everyone should do this!”. I always reply - “Please let them know that, because I could bang on about this all day, but it’s not until they experience it for themselves that they believe it!”
Read on to discover how I help people look and feel confident.
How I overcame Imposter Syndrome
Are you looking through my website thinking “it’s easy for her, Tabitha looks confident”?
Well the good news is I * do * feel confident in myself these days!
However, that has not always been the case… Until a few years ago, I used to struggle with:
Self doubts
Imposter Syndrome (you know, those voices you get in your head telling you “you suck”, “you’re not good enough”, “everyone else is better than you”, etc)
Low confidence
High stress
Perfectionism (a manifestation of Imposterism)
I was a chronic people pleaser…
Yup, that was me.
I used to be so bad I made myself so physically ill with my unhelpful thoughts that I ended up in hospital on more than one occasion.
That last time I was admitted to hospital, they put me in an isolated ward with an IV sticking out of the only vein they could find on my body. I have stories to share, my friend, I have stories…
You’d never know it these days, as I worked hard to get to where I am today.

Learn how I busted my self-doubts and increased my inner confidence
This wasn’t something I could do by myself.
I knew I needed to change things, because my lack of confidence was getting in the way of the life I wanted to live.
After a scary hospital diagnosis, I set about making real change. This included learning about mindset, neuroscience, I went to workshops on neuroscience, I went to therapists, I read books and listened to podcasts, I learnt the science behind how the brain works and why we have such unhelpful thoughts, I discovered and implemented tools - and understood how to retrain the brain so we can be free from being held back by all of this!
And now I want to help other people do this, too!
If you want to learn how I did this, I hosted a free mini workshop - if you would like access to the replay of this, please email hello@tabithaarthur.com
