From Camera-Shy to Confident: How Jean overcame her fear of photos
For so many business owners and professionals, the idea of stepping in front of a camera can feel kinda intimidating.
Maybe you've had photos taken in the past that you didn’t love. Maybe you felt awkward as heck during your last photoshoot and you see it in the photos. Maybe you’ve told yourself you’re just not photogenic. I hear this all the time.
When Jean arrived for her photoshoot, she was feeling incredibly nervous. She was really far out of her comfort zone.
Her website designer had told her she needed photos of herself – but she really didn't want to be doing this. On our previous phone call she shared with me that she had never had successful photos of herself before – and by the time she arrived she was pretty convinced the same thing would happen again.
But here’s the thing – she’s not alone. So many of my clients come to me with similar fears, unsure if it’s even possible to have a photo of themselves that they don't hate, let alone actually love.

Why so many people feel camera-shy
A negative past experience, feeling out of control, or simply stepping out of your comfort zone – any of these things can make being in front of the camera feel overwhelming. But what if I told you that with the right guidance and support, you could actually enjoy the process?
I know - it seems pretttty far-fetched, right?
That you could not only feel comfortable but also walk away with images that make you feel powerful, beautiful, and seen? 🤯

How Jean’s experience transformed her confidence
I’ve built my photography experience with this in mind. From the moment you walk through the studio doors, I make sure you have the time and space to settle in, get comfortable, and feel supported.
My wonderful hair and makeup artist is there to take care of you, ensuring you feel your absolute best. And throughout the entire photoshoot, you’re guided every step of the way – from your pose to your expression – so you never feel lost or unsure, and you look natural, not stiff or awkward.
Jean experienced this first-hand. As we moved through the session, she started to relax.
She could see how I was directing her, making sure every pose and angle worked for her. By the end of the session, she was surprised at how natural and confident she felt in front of the camera.
Her reaction when she saw the final images?
Absolutely blown away. She couldn't believe it! She finally had photos of herself that she loved – ones that truly represented her as the experienced interior designer she is.
"I was greeted kindly and with a lot of assurance that my reaction is a common one… I highly recommend Tabitha to anyone, but especially to someone who is as camera-shy as I was."
